Commercial flue installations
At Chimflue, we have been working in the commercial flue installations sector for over 30 years and have a wealth of experience in all types of flue and chimney applications. Our fully trained sales engineers are available to attend site, carry out surveys and advise on the best solution for your individual requirements. We also have a number of personnel based within the offices at our Andover branch who are able to quote from tender documents, drawings and specifications. From order stage onwards, projects are controlled by our in-house contracts team and installed by our specially trained installation engineers. We also regularly supply services such as scaffold or mechanical access, asbestos removal and roofing works from our database of approved sub-contractors.
We currently work for various county councils as an approved contractor, nationwide facilities maintenance companies, M&E contractors, building companies and many more. Chimney survey inspection and maintenance
Poorly maintained flues and chimneys can be extremely dangerous and often lead to chimney fires and spillage of carbon monoxide into properties. Chimflue Ltd can now offer a full CCTV inspection service as well as chimney sweeping and re-lining where necessary. With the use of our own cherry picker and digital CCTV survey equipment we can carry out full inspections of existing flue ways to determine their condition and the need for any remedial works. Our skilled installation team can also carry out clearing of chimney blockages and sweeping of flues, essential to keep your flue or chimney in a clean, safe and working condition.
Special Fabrications
At Chimflue we have the capability to produce specially fabricated items from clients designs or those developed in-house. The type of items that we can manufacture include:
- Basic insert gathers / sump adaptors for open fireplaces.
- Mild Steel / Stainless Steel Canopies in conical, scalloped, straight and custom styles.
- Architect designed termination sections.
- Ported header tees to any angle / configuration.
- Specially fabricated flue sections to solve awkward offsets on site.
Design
We use a combination of the latest CAD and sheet metal template systems to achieve a design to almost any brief. The technical experience of our team gives us the ability to advise on any proposed design to ensure the proper function of the component. We can also assist in the specification of the material to be used in any item we fabricate to make sure that it is appropriate for the application and also gives the desired visual effect.
Manufacture
Our on-site manufacturing facility is equipped with a full array of tooling and machinery including a plasma profiling machine which
allows us to produce items in many different shapes and sizes and to the smallest tolerances. We frequently employ both MIG and TIG
welding techniques to achieve high quality results on the most unusual shaped items.
Quantity
We can design and manufacture one off items for individual projects and applications as well as large quantities for OEM contracts.
Exodraft fan maintenance
The motors in the exodraft chimney fans have special ball bearings that are sealed, lifetime lubricated and maintenance-free. The fan itself however does require regular inspection & cleaning, the frequency of this varies with the type of appliance and fuel being burnt but should generally be no less than once a year.
Chimflue Ltd now offer a maintenance service to ensure the correct function and extended lifetime of your exodraft system. This service is available to both domestic and commercial customers and can be quoted by any of our sales engineers.
Safe access is the one of our primary concerns when our installers attend site and for this reason, mechanical access or scaffolding is often necessary.
