SAFE Contractor

At Chimflue, we have been approved by SAFEcontractor since 2006 and are continually updating our Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure we protect our workforce and stay in line with the current legislation. To discover more about what SAFEcontractor accreditation means please read on below and follow the link to their website.

“SAFEcontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors and service providers. Clients have a legal obligation to ensure that external contractors and service providers working on their premises operate in a safe way. There is therefore a need to assess contractor’s health & safety arrangements and increasingly this is being carried out through SAFEcontractor.

Many large organisations now use SAFEcontractor as their primary means of selecting contractors.”

“The aim of the Buy with Confidence scheme is to help consumers to avoid rip-offs and cowboys by providing a list of reputable local businesses, in a wide range of different trades. Member companies have been independently checked by staff from the local authority Trading Standards Service against the Scheme rules.”

At Chimflue safety is our primary concern, especially when using heavy plant such as mechanical access machines. To ensure the safety of our staff we provide training as necessary to support the roles which are being carried out. We currently have three members of staff who are fully trained and experienced in the use of various mechanical access machines including static vertical (1a), mobile vertical (3a) and mobile boom (3b).
